Questions
Before you send a set.
What does an estimate cost?
Each project gets a fixed quote after we look at the documents, based on the size of the set and the scopes you want priced. You approve the price and delivery date before any work starts.
Do you offer a monthly plan?
Yes. If you bid steadily, you can pay one set fee each month for ongoing access to our team — takeoffs, pricing and bid-day help — instead of a quote on every project. We size the plan to how much you bid and agree on it before we start.
What will I get back?
A live-formula Excel workbook with the takeoff detail, labor and material breakdown and a summary with markups; marked-up drawings showing what was counted; and a scope letter with inclusions, exclusions and clarifications you can bid from.
Can you price with my labor rates and markups?
Yes. Send your crew rates, burden and markup structure and we’ll build the estimate on them, so the number is yours — not an averaged national rate.
Do you price plumbing in the same detail as HVAC?
Yes. Plumbing is taken off by system and floor — underground, rough-in and trim — covering waste and vent, storm, domestic hot and cold water, natural gas, fixtures, equipment and specialties. Testing, disinfection and backflow certification are carried wherever the spec calls for them.
Do you only work in Alaska and Texas?
That’s where our field experience is, and we know those markets well. Estimating, BIM and shop drawings are all delivered remotely, so we take plan sets from anywhere in the U.S.
Are my bid documents kept confidential?
Yes. Your documents and pricing are used only for your estimate and are never shared with other bidders. We’re glad to sign your NDA.
We won the job. Can you keep going?
That’s the point. The takeoff becomes the starting point for the coordination model, shop drawings and spool sheets, so nothing gets re-learned between bid and build.
